JRGOS Annual Luncheon, Business Meeting and Reception

Held each year during the AAOS Annual Meeting, the JRGOS Luncheon brings together a multi-cultural group of orthopaedic surgeons and thought leaders. Each luncheon promises networking with Orthopaedic Surgeons across the country who use your products along with the opportunity to hear a dynamic guest speaker address issues of relevance to the Society’s mission and strategic goals. The JRGOS meeting affords an opportunity for your company to learn about the impact of JRGOS programs, activities, and its strategic priorities to increase diversity in orthopaedic surgery – all in a relaxed environment.

The JRGOS PGY-1 Orthopaedic Surgery Bootcamp

Held each summer for Newly Matched URiM Orthopaedic Residents, the Bootcamp is a 2-day experience. A welcome dinner is hosted the night before the Bootcamp, followed by a full-day of skills sessions for Femoral Nail, OR Etiquette, Tibial Nail, External Fixation, Splinting, Imaging Review, etc.) and Didactics/Fireside Chats focused on Anatomy and Case Preparation, Presenting a Consult, OITE Preparations, Research in a Residency. Your support to this program allows Newly Matched URiM Orthopaedic Residents to attend free, supporting travel, hotel accommodations, food and beverage, JRGOS Scrubs, OITE Preparation Textbooks.

ABOS Part II Mock Oral Examination

The Mock Oral Examination allows practicing orthopaedic surgeons to present their cases to senior faculty for feedback. Your support to this program will allow these early career surgeons to pass their ABOS Part II examination making them board certified.

Sponsor one of numerous Gladden webinars dealing with resident issues, business practices or medical student challenges.

Conference Grant for Fellows and Early Career Orthopaedic Surgeons

Support grants (travel and registration) to Fellows and Early Career Orthopaedic Surgeons to attend courses and conferences that aid in the development of surgical skills and knowledge.

Traveling Fellowship Support

Supports the travel of young JRGOS practicing surgeons to visit institutions both inside and outside of the United States in order to broaden their expertise within their fields and disseminate their research ideas through academic exchange.

Research Grant for Residents

Supports young orthopaedic clinician scientists as they embark on careers that combine a strong research focus aligned with clinical activities and the mission of JRGOS.

Research Grant for Faculty and Orthopaedics Surgeons

Supports strong research and requires research to be presented at an orthopaedic conference or published.
