Become A Mentor

The J Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society mentors are dedicated to serving as role models to JRGOS medical students and residents and young surgeons as they navigate their careers. We ask that mentors demonstrate a commitment to their mentees by working to understand their goals in medical school, residency, fellowship and beyond. A mentor should be approachable, accessible, goal-directed and forthright with their mentees. Although mentors are not expected to maintain frequent contact with their mentee, they are expected to demonstrate a commitment to helping their mentees achieve their personal goals, expand their career network and demonstrate a high standard of ethics.
